                She’s bleeding everywhere and his hands are covered in it.

                                                He can’t help her.

        He shifts, then brings her closer and brushes bloody fingers over her cheek. It was Mammon, of all hell’s residents. Princes finally revolting against their queen and the casualty is his lightning storm’s last breath. He killed Mammon, anyway. Burnt him until there was nothing but a charred and blackened pile of bones.

                Then she goes and says that, and he sucks in a breath.

                        “I’ll find you. I promise.”

                                                        She’s buried and his hands are still bloody.
